10/2017 My month & Links

My beloved October is gone but we spent a good time together:

Another trip around the sun: I’m a 100% Scorpio woman and I had an awesome birthday party. 41 years old is something to be proud of. And I had the best present ever: a new metalsmith’s workbench!! Yay!

Next step for making me happy is something like this:

Too many interests – a curse and a blessing. Experimenting has kept me intrigued and feeling alive. This time I’m discovering the fantastic world of Origami! The last piece I made was the Blade Runner unicorn

LINKS LOVE

☆ As I love exceptional women’s stories, this is a cool video about Alexandra David-Néel, the first Western woman to enter the “forbidden city” of Lhasa. She was a true adventurer.

☆  In love with this Harry Clarke’s illustrations for Poe‘s Tales of Mystery and Imagination. A stunning artwork!!

☆ The featured image today is a vintage illustration and I don’t know the author. Does somebody help me?

    Happy belated 41!
And yes, too many interests is a curse and a blessing, but it keeps life interesting, so the balance tips towards blessing :)
And what a fun origami unicorn!

I love that cabinet! But then again I love all antique things like this.
As for origami, I used to make some too but your unicorn is really something! It’s good to remember to play once in awhile :)
I’ve searched the author of that painting too but couldn’t find it. It seems an art-nouveau image but no idea who made it, i like it too and may use it on my journals, as I can find it on etsy in high resolution, here https://www.etsy.com/listing/270994369/kiss-the-moon-vintage-girl-kissing-moon
