5/2017 My month & Links

Hi June! Let’s get a look on May, a very inspired month for me. I have been really busy and you know what it means: the busier you are, the best ideas you have (and no time to do them). Meh…

This is the single important thing for May:

The epiphany: I had a very inspired moment with Nur Bloodrose from Cadmium Rose and María Martín from Mystic Atelier during the MAD for Tribal Baazar. We were talking about how difficult is to tag our artwork (outside the tribal dance community). We decided to work in some projects together in order to spread our “x” style. At the moment we are trying to define that “x”: tribal?steampunk? vintage? decay? ethnic? punk?… This is a hard task, a style made of a lot of styles.

This picture is at the Baazar, sadly I have no pictures of us and our epiphany moment. So you can take it as a “behind the scenes” of our epiphany.

LINKS LOVE

☆ Still mesmerized with the great genious part of “Klepsydra” from 2004 Athens Olympics opening ceremony, a live recreation of early civilization. I cried when I saw it for first time, I confess.

☆ Great book full of exceptional women ‘Rad American Women A-Z’: A feminist alphabet book for the little riot grrrl in your life.

☆ In love with Hi-Fructose, the print art magazine.  As they define themselves “Hi-Fructose showcases an amalgamation of new contemporary, emerging as well distinguished artists, with a spotlight on awe inspiring spectacles from round the world”. Do not miss this link!

☆ The featured image today is called “The universe of being” by Daniel Martin Diaz. Check out his fantastic artwork.

I love hi-fructose as well! Great magazine, you can also submit your own work, which I plan to do in a couple of months.
And have fun with your tribal/ethnic project!
