I want to share with you these 5 jewelry hacks you have to try .
There are many home remedies to use, but I’ve chosen what works for me. These time-saving jewelry tips will make your life a little easier.
Untangle your necklaces without suffering
The best solution for storing long necklaces is keeping them hanging separately from each other. But if it’s too late and it has already a super big knot there are two things I always do:
One, don’t panic and create the same chaos that has been created, that is, I entangle even more (70% of the time works for me)
Two, use baby powder, sprinkle the baby powder on and gently rub the knot using your fingertips to allow the powder to fall inside of and loosen the knot.
Use buttons to keep pairs of earrings together
That simple. I’m sure many times you lose pairs of earrings in your jewelry box, finally, you find one but… where is the other?
I was like you, but let me tell you, no more! How? Using buttons to keep pairs of earrings together. A great saving-time tip, easy, fast, and It doesn’t take up space.
Put chalk where you keep your jewels to avoid losing its luster
To prevent tarnish on your jewelry there are a lot of solutions. I like to put a few pieces of a regular chalkboard in with my jewelry. Chalk absorbs moisture, the airborne substances that cause tarnish.
Use a paper clip to put on bracelets.
Some bracelets can be pretty tricky to put on, often requiring two-person effort. If you are alone and can’t ask for help, bend a paper clip to hook things up as you can see in my picture.
Can’t find a paper clip in that moment? Use a bobby pin, a safety pin… you get the idea.
Clean the silver jewelry vinegar and baking soda
Silver can be cleaned with many methods and products we have at home: ketchup, lemon soda, laundry detergent…
The one I like is to clean silver by putting it in a mixture made with half a cup of white vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda. Leave your jewelry a few hours in the mix, then rinse with cold water and let them dry . Enjoy its brightness as if they were new again.
